Passage is a lesson in ceramic construction. Eva Dürnegger of Kärnten, Austria led the build process for Passage. The design and finish processes were led by Meg Dougherty. The piece was built to demonstrate a technique for scaling up sculpture from small sketches to large installation pieces. The piece is over-built, but has the intention of inspiring larger scales. The focus on process in this piece led to a number of experimental design strategies also pictured.
